Falcons vs. Chargers: Fantasy Stars Who Will Shine in Epic Matchup
Just hearing that the Atlanta Falcons and San Diego Chargers will face off is enough to make fantasy owners salivate at the possibilities. The talent on the field is a veritable who's who of studs who make up a large portion of your fantasy roster.
Since we are all about fantasy stats as much as the outcome of the game, we wanted to take a look at the fantasy stars who are going to shine brightest in this excellent inter-conference showdown in San Diego.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Somewhere along the way, people seemed to get bored with White and wanted to see Julio Jones become the next big thing for the Falcons.
Here we are, two weeks into the season, and White is back up to his old tricks. He has 14 catches for 189 yards and one touchdown with 19 targets.
Jones might be a little more flashy with his style, but White is still Matt Ryan's go-to guy. Against a San Diego defense that hasn't been tested this season, White will be the equivalent of a culture shock for the Chargers.
White was the star of the show on Monday against Denver, which has a very good secondary. Imagine what he will do against a Chargers unit that is getting by with Quentin Jammer and a lot of young players.
Plus, I think that Jones' thigh injury is going to inhibit his production in this game a lot more than White's knee will prevent him from shining.
Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons
If White is going to have a huge game, someone has to throw him the ball. Ryan has been on the cusp of fantasy greatness for years, even breaking the 4,000-yard barrier in 2011.
This just feels like his time to shine as both an MVP candidate and fantasy superstar. He is not only showing better poise in the pocket, but his accuracy and ability to put the ball wherever he wants has never looked better.
Right now, Ryan is completing just over 70 percent of his passes and has yet to throw an interception.
The Chargers have been able to capitalize on playing the pass-challenged Raiders and Titans in their first two games. The Falcons and Ryan present far more explosiveness than they have seen before, so things could get ugly in a hurry for this defense.
Malcom Floyd, San Diego Chargers
I love the wide receivers in this game. Floyd is one of the best big-play receivers in the NFL right now, averaging 17.5 yards per catch this season and 17.9 for his career.
To me, what makes Floyd so valuable in this game goes back to what we saw the Broncos do to the Falcons in the second half on Monday night. They were able to find some holes in the secondary to at least make the game interesting at the end.
Some of that can be attributed to the Falcons taking their foot off the gas with the game in hand, but they don't have a strong coverage secondary. They need to use gimmicks and movement to disguise their packages.
Floyd and Philip Rivers can catch on to that early enough and take some chances down the field. I still don't trust Rivers enough to make him a consistent starter, nor do I think the Chargers will be able to run the ball well enough to make it matter, but Floyd is going to create matchup problems for the Falcons' secondary.
