Detroit Tigers' Failure Spawns Greatest Tweet of the Day
The Detroit Tigers did us all a solid when they decided to give up six runs late in the game, spawning a hashtag fail that delivered the tweet of the day.
After jumping out to a 2-0 lead, the Oakland A's responded with big rallies in the sixth and ninth innings to win the game 12-4.
This turn of events caused Dallas Morning News columnist, Evan Grant, to tweet this marvel to the masses.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
"Nice work by Detroit relievers today, allowing 6 in 9th to Oakland. I guess you could say #tigerspenisstinky
— Evan Grant (@Evan_P_Grant) September 20, 2012"
That little hashtag misstep caused a wave of hilarity. We are certain Grant wanted to go with #TigersPenIsStinky or perhaps #TigersBullpenStinks.
Then again, only Grant knows. But this is how Andrew Baggarly tweeted in response.
"Hashtag doubletake! RT @evan_p_grant: Nice work by Detroit relievers today, allowing 6 in 9th. I guess you could say #tigerspenisstinky
— Andrew Baggarly (@CSNBaggs) September 20, 2012"
Yes, this tweet was that special collection of words that reads like one of those pictures you stare at for a few minutes until the image of a boat or something else appears.
Before long, you can see that Tigers may have more issues than their bullpen.
It's the thin line that separates #TigersHitOften from something rather problematic.
Practice safe hashtagging out there Tweeps, because you may make a semi-creative tweet into something altogether more hilarious.
Well, I guess you could say this tweet was rather successful then. Never mind.
