"Saved by the Bell"'s Mr. Belding Makes Glorious Pro Wrestling Debut
It's time to bust out the Buddy Bands and the life-size Kelly Kapowski poster you have lying under your bed, because Mr. Belding is back.
Yes, Richie Belding, better known as Dennis Haskins if you consider calling him by, you know, his real name, is now a pro wrestler.
Let that marinate in the brain for a second. Let the juices last tasted when watching a brilliant Saved By the Bell rerun be sopped up by the famished entertainment section of your brain.
TMZ has a video that ranks right up there with the last scene in Aliens and every last episode of California Dreams on the epic meter.
"Hey, hey, hey. What's going on here?"
Now if we could just get Rod Belding into the ring, that would be something.
TMZ has the report to shed some light on that video featuring Haskins going HAM on some professional wrestlers.
"It all went down at an event in Jersey ... where 61-year-old Dennis Haskins was serving as host and guest enforcer for a Pro Wrestling Syndicate event called "Saved By the Ring Bell."
"
Belding not only whooped some ass ... he dragged his victim all around the ring and taunted him mercilessly ... while a masked man in a pink unitard egged him on.
If you are wondering where the man learned to wrestle, I imagine he took notes during the great match between A.C. Slater and Valley's Marvin Nedick.
Bayside continues to talk about that clash to this day.
