NFL Picks Week 2: Underdogs Guaranteed to Cover Spread on Sunday
Just hours remain before the bulk of the Week 2 NFL slate kicks off, meaning it's crunch time for pick 'em pool players across the nation.
As all league members spend their entire week reading scouting reports and scouring the injury list, what separates a good bettor from a mediocre one is the ability to find underdogs.
There are many close spreads for Sunday's action, meaning it will be crucial that you pick the right teams to make an upset.

For that reason, here's a look at a few underdog teams guaranteed to cover the spread in Week 2.
(Note: All spreads come via Bovada)
Kansas City Chiefs (+3) at Buffalo Bills
The Chiefs' performance in the first half against the Atlanta Falcons last week showed how good this team can be when it's firing on all cylinders. The offense looked vastly improved, as Jamaal Charles' return provided a much-needed spark and Matt Cassel seemed the most comfortable he's been in Kansas City.
Unfortunately, there were two halves of football to be played. The Falcons came out for the second half on fire, scoring 20 straight points before a meaningless Chiefs touchdown with six seconds left in the fourth quarter finalized the score at 40-24.
We will likely find out the true identity of Kansas City on Sunday as they head to Buffalo to face a reeling Bills team. Ostensibly, the Chiefs should be able to dominate both sides of the ball and get an upset on the road.
Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick looked lost last week against the New York Jets, and the team's secondary allowed Mark Sanchez to throw for 266 yards and three touchdowns.
Look for Kansas City's offense to come out, put up a scintillating performance and lead the team to victory on Sunday.
Score Prediction: Chiefs 27, Bills 20
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+7) at New York Giants
Though the Super Bowl hangover speculation going around New York is overblown, so is this spread.
The Buccaneers looked like a far superior team under first-year head coach Greg Schiano last week and should continue that momentum on Sunday. Tampa Bay held second-year sensation Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers offense to just 10 points and should provide a second straight test for Eli Manning.
On the offensive side, the Bucs looked disciplined but lacking in explosion. Josh Freeman threw for just 138 yards on 24 pass attempts, but more importantly, he did not throw an interception. After finishing second-worst in the NFL last season with 22 picks, that reversion to a conservative look could pay huge dividends against a strong Giants pass rush.
Expect New York to come out on top at home but for it to be a low-scoring contest that comes down to the wire.
Score Prediction: Giants 17, Buccaneers 13
Tennessee Titans (+6) at San Diego Chargers
Granted, it's the smallest sample size possible, but Jake Locker looked like an infinitely improved quarterback Week 1 versus the New England Patriots.
Derided due to his erratic tendencies, Locker completed 23-of-32 passes (71.9 percent) for 229 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury. He is seemingly ready to go for Sunday and should have a solid game against a mediocre Chargers secondary.
Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer hit up the San Diego secondary for 297 yards and a touchdown while avoiding an interception in 46 attempts.
If Locker is able to avoid mistakes and the Titans get something of substance from Chris Johnson (and, no, five yards on 11 carries won't cut it), they should be able to pull off an upset.
The Chargers struggled mightily to run the ball against Oakland and dearly missed departed deep threat Vincent Jackson in the passing game.
With nearly everyone picking San Diego this week, take the opportunity and go with the Titans in an upset special.
Score Prediction: Titans 24, Chargers 21
