Young Philadelphia Phillies Fan Has Epic and Uplifitng Sign for Beloved Team

The Phillies dropped a heartbreaker to the Houston Astros on Thursday, but none of that really matters when you see the sweet sign one fan held up high during the game. 

The surging Phillies dropped a game to the lowly Astros on Thursday night when visiting Philadelphia gave up three runs in the eighth inning. 

Whatevs, because this season has been all about looking on the bright side of things. 

This is a team that should have been out of the running by this time of the year, especially considering the months of lackluster ball it has played. 

Instead, the Phillies are 8-2 in the last 10 and only four games back in the wild-card race. 

I issue all of this because there is a little kid who had a far bigger battle to overcome and decided to use that as motivation for a favorite team.

There aren't enough four-letter expletives to aptly describe the disgust we have for childhood cancer, or any form, really. 

We can only go through the day a little lighter knowing that this young baseball fan, by beating it, proved tougher than we will ever be. 

While the Phillies lost the game, we noticed the "Childhood Cancer Awareness" portion of the sign. We have all certainly taken notice.
