Ozzie Guillen Goes on Bizarre Twitter Rant About Alex Cintron, Derek Jeter
Ozzie Guillen, ever the entertainer, went on a Twitter rant on Thursday after restraining himself for a whole three-and-a-half months.
By the look of his tweets, maybe the Miami Marlins manager should have restrained himself a bit longer.
Guillen started by paying his respects to Derek Jeter, via his official Twitter account. Fair enough, Jeter's a 13-time All-Star and a five-time World Series champion. He deserves some love.

But then it got weird.
He went on to say Alex Cintron was the only player he had coached who compared to Jeter. You know, Alex Cintron, that guy who has a career .275 average who hit .268 in two seasons with the Chicago White Sox from 2006-2007.
Then came this:
"cintron was the key of my decline
— Ozzie Guillen (@OzzieGuillen) September 13, 2012"
OK, now I'm confused. First, he's comparing Cintron to Jeter, which doesn't even make sense. Then he's saying a guy who compares to Jeter was the reason his managing career went downhill?
Alright, let's move on, shall we?
Guillen then says he can't wait for the Chicago Bears-Green Bay Packers game on Thursday night. Reasonable enough. Two teams that figure to contend for the playoffs this season.
Then he says that he's not a football fan, nor does he have a favorite football team. But finishes a tweet, "o like the bears cause walter payton and coach ditkas."
Last but not least, the 48-year-old notes that he respects all football players because they are "tough mother cows." Of course, as he makes sure to include, "bullfighter(s) are tougher."
So this is what Guillen thinks about on his off days. Makes you wonder how the Marlins could possibly be 63-81 this season, at the bottom of the NL East.
Follow me on Twitter. I am not nearly as entertaining as Ozzie Guillen.
