Money in the Bank or Money down the Drain?

Brendan O'NeillMar 3, 2009

Hello again all, I thought I'd write an article about the already qualified participants for the 'Money in the Bank' match at Wrestlemania 25.

Watching Raw last night and the qualifying match between Kane, Mike Knox and Rey Mysterio I was left with a sense of disappointment.

No offence to Kane, but there is no way a guy at almost 7ft tall and 300lbs should even contemplate entering a ladder match, but I was disappointed because this match is designed to be innovative and exciting, two things which Kane is not.

Rey Mysterio should have been given the nod to enter MITB based on his performance in the Elimination chamber at No Way Out, he was absolutely fantastic that night.

But Vince being Vince has other ideas, he decided to go against the idea of the high-flyer and went for the monstrous Kane. Now I was disappointed with this but thought to myself 'hey it couldn't be any worse'.

Unfortunately I was wrong. I woke this morning, went to work and decided to check the spoiler results for ECW. That was my first mistake.

On the site it said Money in the Bank qualifying match, you won't believe who won, I thought maybe John Morrison would get another shot at qualifying, maybe Evan Bourne is making his comeback and is going to qualify, but I read the spoilers and was left totally shocked and very very disappointed.

Mark Henry beat Santino Marella to become the third entrant. Are you fricking serious? MARK HENRY.

There are at least two other WWE Superstars who are least suited to competing in the Money in the Bank match than Mark Henry, those are The Great Khali and Vladimir Kozlov.

Mark Henry does not even make me want to watch him on ECW, never mind pay £15 to see him struggle to climb a ladder at Wrestlemania.

It doesn't matter who else gets added to this match now. Whether it's Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, John Morrison, Shelton Benjamin or Jimmy 'Super Fly' Snuka himself, just joking Vince don't put him in, Money in the Bank has been ruined with this addition of Mark Henry.

As you can tell I'm not happy with this decision, and won't be until Henry is removed from this match. Can anyone honestly say they would enjoy seeing Mark Henry in this match? Thought not.

This would have been my line up for the MITB match;

Evan Bourne - Rey Mysterio - CM Punk - John Morrison - Shelton Benjamin - The Brian Kendrick - MVP - Kofi Kingston

Who would you have competing?
