Drogba, a 34-year-old Ivorian striker, left Chelsea in May after leading the Blues to the UEFA Champions League title. He joined China's Shanghai Shenhua and vowed never to play for another Premier League club (via The Independent).
According to The Sun, Arsenal are interested in Drogba after the Ivorian was thought to be "caught up in a boardroom power struggle" at Shenhua.
Drogba reportedly makes £200,000 per week in China.
Manchester City Closing on Stevan Jovetic?
2 of 5Manchester City are nearing a deal with Fiorentina to sign Montenegrin forward Stevan Jovetic next summer (via talkSPORT).
Jovetic, 22, has also been linked with Chelsea (via Daily Mail) and Juventus (via Goal.com).
In related news, former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has claimed in an excerpt from his new book that former club owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks refused to give Benitez the funds to sign Jovetic (via Daily Mail).
When Fergie Met Pep

Ferguson, 70, flew to New York to watch fellow Scot Andy Murray win the U.S. Open, according to the Daily Express' sources. Meeting Guardiola was only "by chance."
Guardiola, 41, is thought to be among the candidates to replace Ferguson, should Ferguson retire.
Financial Fair Play in Action?

John Terry Set for Another Hearing

Terry, a 31-year-old Chelsea defender, was involved in an in-game incident with Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand last October. Terry, the former England captain, stood trial over the incident in British court in July but was cleared of the charges (via BBC Sport).
According to the Daily Mail, the FA probe was delayed while choosing a three-man Independent Regulatory Commission.
