NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (-14) vs. Arizona Cardinals
The Pats are simply a dominant football program again in 2012, and should have no problem destroying the Cardinals at home.
Arizona lost John Skelton for 2-4 weeks with an ankle sprain in its opener against the Seattle Seahawks, so it will have backup QB Kevin Kolb on the field for this game.
Tom Brady and his plethora of offensive weapons will be able to run the score up on a team that struggles each and every time they head into Foxborough, Mass.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+7.5) vs. NEW YORK GIANTS
The G-Men aren’t as terrible as they let on against the Cowboys, but they don’t match up well with the Bucs.
Tampa should easily cover this spread because it won’t let the Giants vaunted pass rush impact its play too much.
This is a rushing team that relies on getting defensive stops and pounding the ball, not slinging it downfield.
The Giants will have a tough time moving the chains on offense, especially on the ground, and this game will be decided by a TD or less.
Houston Texans (-7.5) at JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
The Texans are going to eat the lowly Jags alive in this contest.
Their pass rush is simply too much for Blaine Gabbert to avoid, and the inexperienced offense of Jacksonville will be hindered all day by pressure.
Arian Foster, Andre Johnson and Matt Schaub should all be in line for yet another big game and it should be an easy 10- to 14-point victory for Houston.
