NBA 2K13: Official Trailer Adds More Excitement for Highly Anticipated Game
2K Sports understands presentation, and it shines through not only in the visual packaging of its games, but also in the hype leading up to the release.
If you weren't hyped for NBA 2K13's release before, you have to be a little amped after watching this trailer. Biggie, Diddy and Busta Rhymes on the Victory track, and the NBA's greatest stars create one of the most scintillating montages you'll ever see.
This isn't just about fluff, though.
In this video you can see some of the new features that seem to make NBA 2K13 an early candidate for game of the year.
The new right-stick isomotion moves are on display throughout, but that isn't all. Kevin Garnett's push-ups at the :30 mark show off the pre-game rituals. At :33, the left-handed windmill by Paul George seems new to the game.
I've been playing this series for 12 years, and I don't believe I've ever seen that one.
At :37, Eric Gordon breaks Delonte West's ankles with a sick wrap-around dribble. At :50, JaVale McGee throws himself an alley-oop of the backboard, and at 1:20 you can see Stephen Curry properly using the pick-and-roll.
Seconds after Curry does his thing there is a crushing pick being set by a Philadelphia 76ers player.
This is flash and substance wrapped into a ball of virtual hoops hype.
This trailer will have most fans totally open.
