Week 2 Pickups: Early-Season Studs Your Fantasy Team Needs
Finally, we have fantasy stats and performances that we can truly judge players by. It is the best of times and the worst of times, as fans are going to be scratching and clawing for the next six days to find pieces to add to the puzzle.
There are always going to be players who have a one-week spike in performance, so you have to be leery of falling into that trap.
As far as fliers go, there are a few names that you obviously need to add to your roster right now. Even if you never use these players, you can keep them on the bench and away from your opponents.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here are the stars from Week 1 who look like legitimate fantasy players for the rest of the season.
Robert Griffin III, QB, Washington Redskins
I would never advise you to draft a rookie quarterback, no matter how good they look, because there is so much you have to learn in order to handle the position at this level that you can't know right out of college.
However, since you don't have to draft anymore, Robert Griffin III could easily end up as a strong backup quarterback this season.
I do think that his 320 yards passing was inflated by going up against a porous defense, so he is, unsurprisingly, going to come back down to earth.
There were other signs that he can keep this up over the long haul. For instance, his completion percentage of 73.1 shows how comfortable he already is. He didn't turn the ball over, which is always a problem for rookies.
It also helps that the Redskins play St. Louis in Week 2. Get your hands on Griffin now, because he is going to go quickly.
Kevin Ogletree, WR, Dallas Cowboys
As much as people love to hate Tony Romo, as a fantasy quarterback, there are very few in the NFL that are better. One thing he does so well that doesn't get enough credit is spreading the ball around.
Ogletree was the beneficiary of that love on Wednesday night, as he had 114 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions.
The Cowboys are going to score a lot of points with all the talent they have on the offensive side of the ball. Ogletree is clearly in Romo's sights right now.
I don't think he ends up as a top-25 fantasy receiver this season, but he can give you a game or two where he looks like a stud.
Randy Moss, WR, San Francisco 49ers
No one had any idea what to expect out of Moss when the 49ers took a chance on him. He had not played in over a year, and wasn't exactly lighting things up the last time he was on the field.
If the 49ers were trying to build their receiving corps around Moss, they would be in trouble. We should know Jim Harbaugh and his staff are smarter than that.
The way they used Moss against the Packers was perfect. He is not going to be on the field for a majority of snaps, so he has to make plays when he is out there.
He did just that in Week 1, serving as a decoy at times and a red-zone threat at others. He is not going to get eight catches and 100 yards on a weekly basis, but he looks like he can give you a handful of catches with between 8-10 touchdowns this season.
