Will Tiger Woods Win His Third Career BMW Championship?
Tiger Woods will look to win the BMW Championship for the third time on Sunday. Woods has won the event five times, dating back to when it was known as the Western Open.
Woods won the BMW Championship most recently in 2009. He finished a tournament-record 22-under par in 2007 to win his first official BMW title.
He will have to bring his A game on Sunday, though, as Rory McIlroy has been setting the pace as of late. The 23-year-old won the Deutsche Bank Championship last weekend at TPC Boston.
McIlroy shot 20-under in that victory last weekend and has no doubt put the pressure on Tiger to win this weekend after taking over the No. 1 spot on the PGA money list.
Woods will need another low score to add to his BMW Championship tally. All the tournament's top golfers have been posting impressive scores this weekend.
He might have to shoot 20-under for the tournament to even challenge on Sunday. Woods is three shots back, while McIlroy is just one shot back of leaders Phil Mickelson (-16) and Vijay Singh.
