Breaking News: Hulk Completes Move to Zenit St. Petersburg

According to Goal.com, FC Porto winger has completed a move to Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg.

The fee is believed to be in the area of €40-€50 million, and the Brazilian signed a five-year deal upon his arrival.

The move came as a bit of a surprise for the Brazilian.

The move will strengthen a Zenit side that has already been rather dominant over the last year in the Russian Premier League.

It will also come as a shock and a bit of a disappointment for Chelsea fans, who hoped to bring the powerful forward to Stamford Bridge.

Porto had previously set his buyout clause believed to be around £85 million, a figure which proved too much for even Roman Abramovich.

Now the reigning Russian champions have signed the highly rated attacker for roughly half that amount.

It seems Abramovich isn't the only wealthy owner willing to spend for a big star like Hulk.

This blockbuster deal makes makes Zenit one of the most exciting teams to watch in the upcoming Champions League group stages.

The addition of Axel Witsel makes the team even more formidable, even if they did overpay for the midfielder.

Zenit may also still manage to get Hulk's Porto teammate Joao Moutinho on the squad.

This move may have Blues and Spurs fans wishing Chelsea and Tottenham had been more aggressive in their pursuit of the Brazilian superstar.
