Cornerback Donnie Fletcher

Wide receiver Royce Pollard

Linebacker Ricky Sapp

Tight End Hayden Smith

Wide receiver Jordan White

Jordan White had a strong preseason and was initially believed to have made the 53-man roster. However, he ultimately did not, possibly due to cuts that other teams have made. Keep an eye on this rookie seventh-round draft pick. He is likely to find his way back onto the main roster at some point.

Undrafted rookie Donnie Fletcher was also impressive this offseason. He was a casualty of the Jets' depth at cornerback. There were not enough spots for all the talented cornerbacks they have.

The last key player to watch in the practice squad is Australian tight end Hayden Smith. At 27 years old, Smith has not yet played an official down of football in his life. The 6'6'' former Rugby player has been successful at several sports and decided to try his hand at American football.

Smith was brought in as one of the rawest prospects one could imagine. The intention was to have him on the practice squad this year. The fact that no other team showed interest in him is good news for the Jets. Smith is very unlikely to make the roster at any point this year, but his presence on the practice squad is good news for the future.

Update: Safety Antonio Allen has been signed as a late addition to the practice squad.
