US Open Tennis Live Streaming 2012: When and Where to Watch Online
Thirty is the new 25.
The 2012 US Open will be dominated by two accomplished veterans (who topped the tennis world when live streaming didn’t exist) who were considered washed up not too long ago.
Watch Roger Federer, Serena Williams and Live Action of the 2012 US Open online at USOpen.org or ESPN3.com.
Federer is 31 years old. Williams is 30.
Before Wimbledon 2012, both legends were on Grand Slam droughts that had no end in sight. Federer hadn’t triumphed since the 2010 Australian Open. Williams hadn’t since the 2010 Wimbledon.
Now, though, Federer is back as the No. 1 player in the men’s game, according to the ATP World Tour’s official rankings. And coming off of a victory in not only the Wimbledon, but the 2012 London Summer Olympics as well, there’s no doubt that Williams is the woman to beat—no matter what the WTA rankings claim.
ESPN reported that Federer is quite confident in his ability to win two straight Grand Slams this summer. He said of his current hot streak:
""I think I felt good last year, but probably felt that maybe at times the matches were not always in my racquet, whereas maybe this time around I feel like if I'm playing well I can dictate who's going to win or lose.
"It's going to take something special from my opponent to win. That's kind of how it feels right now."
"
And you know Serena isn’t short on confidence.
While Williams recently lost to Germany’s Angelique Kerber in the quarterfinals of the Western & Southern Open, that doesn’t change the fact that she should be favored in Queens. She's won there three times, and if Williams won a third straight major title, it would come as no surprise.
