WWE Rumors: Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Sheamus and Friday's Top WWE Buzz
Of all the gimmick pay-per-view events that WWE runs, I think Night of Champions is the best. If for no other reason than most matches actually have a purpose.
With matches like Hell In a Cell or TLC, there has to be a long-term feud that needs to be settled in a brutal match. Since WWE doesn't do a lot of long-term feuds anymore, those matches just kind of get made for the sake of getting made.
We can see the direction where things are going for Night of Champions, so let's hope that the creative team stays on course with a lot of them.

SHEAMUS WANTS THE UNDERTAKER AT WRESTLEMANIA
There have been many great feats in WWE history that have come to an end for one reason or another. The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania does not figure to be one of them, but that isn't stopping Sheamus from talking about his dream to break the most hallowed record in WWE history.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will WWE give Sheamus what he wants?
Our Take: In a word, no. Despite the push WWE has given Sheamus this year, he is still nowhere near a big enough star to be worthy of challenging Undertaker at WrestleMania. The Streak can no longer be contested in matches with high-level stars; it has to be in a match with the biggest of superstars.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 WrestleMania Matches
You do have to admire Sheamus' confidence to keep talking about the match. Plus, the fact that he is really close with Triple H would probably give him an in if something were to happen to Brock Lesnar before WrestleMania 29.

WWE LISTS THINGS BROCK LESNAR COULD STILL DO
Since no one actually thinks Brock Lesnar has left WWE, it makes sense for the company's website to run a story about five things he could conquer before he really walks away. Items on the list include a rematch with the Rock, another bout with John Cena and ending Undertaker's streak.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Which one is Lesnar most likely to accomplish?
Our Take: Honestly, none of the above. However, Lesnar will be given the opportunity to break The Streak at WrestleMania. Unless something drastic changes over the next few months, you have to believe WWE will go for Lesnar vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania 29.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Dream Matches
Even though we have seen Lesnar vs. Undertaker before, it has been so long that no one will remember their previous encounter. Undertaker was the one who really helped Lesnar become that true No. 1 superstar in WWE.

WWE STILL WANTS CHARLIE SHEEN
Even though nothing at SummerSlam materialized, WWE has apparently not given up on getting Charlie Sheen for an angle sometime soon. According to reports, there is no date or anything locked in, but WWE is optimistic about something.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will Sheen invade WWE?
Our Take: As annoying as Sheen can be, he is legitimate star, though no one knows why, who can get WWE some mainstream publicity. If there is any way for WWE to make it happen, Vince McMahon will find it.
Hype Meter: 1 out of 5 Celebrity Appearances
I can understand WWE's rationale for wanting movie and television stars for its shows, but no one really seems to care about it. Of course, Sheen is such a character that it might be different with him.

REPORTED NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS CARD
As WWE continues its build toward Night of Champions, there is a reported card that has made its way online courtesy of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The top matches are CM Punk vs John Cena for the WWE Championship, Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Title, Kaitlyn vs. Layla for the Divas Title and Kofi & R-Truth vs. Primo & Epico vs. The Usos vs. Darren Young & Titus O'Neil for the Tag Titles.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will this be a good show?
Our Take: Despite the overreliance on the title gimmick, which no one cares about, it has potential. Punk vs. Cena, while it won't be what Money In the Bank 2011 was, should still be a solid main event. Sheamus and Del Rio have good chemistry. The tag title match can be outstanding with time.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Big Pay-Per-Views
Even though SummerSlam was the big event of the summer, Night of Champions will prove to be a worthy follow-up. At least the company has a general direction for where to go with the show, instead of just patching things together at the last minute.
