WWE Monday Night Raw Results: Sheamus Shines Without a Match
Without throwing a single clubbing forearm on Raw, the World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus, endeared himself to fans with just his personality.
Sheamus served as an onlooker, guest commentator and brief interferer for the match between Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio. His humor and fun-loving attitude was one of the night's highlights.
It's a welcome sight seeing Sheamus blossom.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
He has been delivering in the ring for some time, but his persona often came off as two-dimensional. At times, he was little more than an angry, screaming warrior.
WWE has begun to let him be himself, a happy-go-lucky tough guy. The real Sheamus is likeable and charismatic.
During his commentary stint on Raw, he seemed at ease. His banter with Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole felt natural, not read off a script. He won't be drawing comparisons to Jim Ross anytime soon, but his work at the announce table was a welcome addition, adding depth to the match and his feud with Del Rio.
During the Orton and Del Rio match, Sheamus played the gleeful tattletale.
Orton's leg was on the bottom rope and Sheamus was quick to let the ref know about it. Of course, it was Del Rio's leg that was on the rope at SummerSlam, making Sheamus' assistance to the ref that much more infuriating to Del Rio.
Sheamus has managed to take on heel qualities and turn them into reasons to like him more.
He stole and trashed Del Rio's car. He knowingly took a cheapened win. Sheamus is developing into a good-natured hooligan.
His personality is starting to catch up to his ring work.
If WWE continues to let Sheamus be himself, to pull pranks and win us over with his mouth as well as his boots, it will be easier and easier to root for him. The rest of his World Heavyweight Championship reign should be a fun ride.
