Chelsea and Ivory Coast Striker Salomon Kalou to Join Arsenal?

Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou has potentially put his place in the Chelsea side in jeopardy.

Amid interest from Arsenal, the Ivory Coast striker has indicated that he would indeed favour the idea of linking up with Arsene Wenger's side at the Emirates.

Kalou admitted it would be an honour to play under the managerial legend that is Arsene Wenger, saying to SkySports.com:

"Wenger said he thought of signing me? That's an honour for me, an honour,

"Because he is a very great coach and I know that every single player in the world dreams of playing for him.

"I have a lot of respect for him, he is one of the best coaches in the world so why not?"

Kalou then went on to talk about the massive amount of friends he has in the red side of North London; a grand total of... three.

"I am still under contract with Chelsea but of course I have plenty of friends who play for Arsenal in: Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue and Emmanuel Adebayor."

I don't think he has quite grasped the English language fully yet, and clearly does not understand the ins and outs of Premier League teams. He said of Arsenal:

"They are achieving huge things at Arsenal and watching them play is just beautiful."

Currently 17 points behind and all but out of the Premier League title race, whether the Gunners have actually achieved 'huge things' is open to interpretation.

Kalou went on to talk about his situation at Stamford Bridge, saying: "At the present I'm happy at Chelsea and I hope that the things that I want to happen will happen.

"I will think of my future once the season is over."

In other words, does a summer move to Arsenal beckon for Salomon Kalou?

My fellow Bleacher Report creature Daniel Gooch helped me create this mighty fine piece of work.
