WWE SummerSlam 2012 Lineup: Predicting the Biggest Shockers of PPV
WWE SummerSlam 2012 is sure to have its share of shocking moments. Last year’s pay-per-view witnessed a wild string of events that left viewers in awe.
Guest referee Triple H cost John Cena the WWE Title to CM Punk and then Albert Del Rio capitalized on the return of Kevin Nash.
Del Rio cashed in his MITB briefcase contract and took the title from Punk after Nash assaulted him during his post-victory celebration. Nash nailed a Jack-knife power bomb on the new champ while Del Rio ran to the ring with a referee at his side. He stole the title right out from under the newly crowned champ.

It was a wild, wild ride and perfect end to an exciting summer of WWE action.
So what shockers are going to rock the WWE landscape in this year’s edition of SummerSlam?
HBK Will Make an Impact on Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
Shawn Michaels is allegedly sidelined for SummerSlam after Lesnar broke his arm on last week’s Monday Night Raw. Michaels has since laid it on thick, in character, through his Twitter account that he will be out of action Sunday night.
"Just talked with HHH. He sounds ready! Obviously told him, I wish i could be there. This is gonna be a tough one to miss!! #summerslam
— Shawn Michaels (@ShawnMichaels) August 18, 2012"
How great, though, would surprise interference by HBK be in this one?
Here’s the catch and the shocker for this one: Michaels helps Lesnar win.
I know it’s crazy, but bear with me for a second. Triple H and Michaels have had a tumultuous history of ups and downs. They’ve been the best of friends and the best of enemies.
Before WrestleMania 28, Triple H was pressured into a match against The Undertaker after Taker told him he wasn’t as talented as Michaels. HBK made himself the guest referee for the hell in a cell bout.
He did everything he could to help Hunter defeat the Undertaker, but Taker ultimately came out on top.
The egos of both HHH and HBK are unparalleled in the WWE and it is not out of the realm of possibility that HBK could feud with Hunter again by putting Lesnar over. Helping Lesnar, though, would signify a heel-turn for the fan-favorite and would change the landscape of things quite a bit.
World Heavyweight Title Surprise
The World Heavyweight Championship feud between Sheamus and Albert Del Rio has been completely underwhelming to this point. Even the match itself is boring and free of any stipulations. Most fans didn’t even know if the title match was going to even happen as late as Friday this weekend.
The WWE could do themselves and their fans a favor by reigniting the Sheamus and Ricardo Rodriguez feud. That may be able to save the match and the division.
If Rodriguez can get involved and cost Sheamus his title, the two could build a long and dynamic feud for the No. 1 contender position. It could set up a ton of different possibilities and liven up the World Heavyweight division as whole.
Randy Orton is also expected to make an appearance Sunday night. Will he impact the outcome of this match and stake his claim in the World Heavyweight division?
What do you think? Do you see HBK turning and Rodriguez or Orton getting involved in the World Heavyweight title match?
