WWE SummerSlam 2012 Card: Triple H Will Have His Revenge Against Brock Lesnar

Ben ChodosMay 31, 2018

Brock Lesnar is a wild man who needs to be put in his place, and Triple H will take full advantage of his opportunity to do just that at WWE’s SummerSlam 2012.

The main event on Aug. 19 at the Staples Center will be the next chapter in the feud between these two mega stars.

The hostilities between WWE’s chief operating officer and the massive man who has been a thorn in his side were taken up a notch when Lesnar’s vicious Kimura armbar broke Triple H’s arm.

Lesnar wasn’t finished using the bone-snapping techniques he picked up during his time in the UFC, and he recently broke Shawn Michaels' arm using the same hold on WWE Raw.

This string of reckless behavior is a slap to the face of Triple H and the WWE. For personal and professional reasons, he needs to take down Lesnar.

But can he do it by himself? Shawn Michaels certainly doesn’t think so. HBK said the following, via WWE.com

"

Once he gets ahold of you — I don’t care if it’s an arm, leg, ankle or wrist — he now has an ability that I don’t think he had before. He might have had it, but I don’t think he had the wisdom, knowledge and experience at that time to utilize it in the respect that he does now. And that makes him a ton more dangerous. That is going to be something Hunter hasn’t faced before.

"

Michaels would go on to claim later in the same post that he would not be at SummerSlam due to his injury, but there is no chance that he misses out on this chance to help his friend even the score.

This event seems to be lacking something to really give the fans a thrill, and seeing Lesnar toss around Michaels and Triple H at the same time would certainly be captivating. Lesnar’s true skills will be put to the test against two men, and there will be the ever-present danger that HBK does more harm than good.

Lesnar’s presence as the main heel in the WWE is a juicy storyline that will play out beyond this match. The only result that should be ruled out is Triple H taking him down by himself.

In the end, Michaels' presence will be enough to put Lesnar in his place, but it won’t be a complete victory for Triple H. Lesnar will not go away, and because it took two men to beat him, he won’t reform his ways.

He’ll up his antics going forward, and it will force Triple H to take him down in a true one-on-one battle.
