WWE SummerSlam 2012 Matches: Dolph Ziggler Must Hand Chris Jericho Another Loss
Dolph Ziggler is going to be one of the WWE's biggest stars over the next 10 years, and his huge push is just beginning. Losing to Chris Jericho would throw his rise off course.
Jericho is a beloved legend—winning this match isn't necessary. Fans understand his time in the WWE, and in professional wrestling is coming to an end, so putting a future star over won't cause an uproar.
It isn't as if this is designed to be Jericho's swan song. I would expect the WWE to send him out positively if that were the case. This match is more about the future of the WWE clashing with a legendary star.

This is about elevating Ziggler to main event status, and Jericho has become something of the gate-keeper in that regard.
Right now he's a smaller version of Kane. Both of them are the legendary presence that gives validity to any match they are involved in, but they never win the high profile match.
Ziggler needs to be a little better on the mic, but he has some Jeff Jarrett and Jericho like qualities in his overall appeal. The WWE has waited too long to push him in a major way, but now that they have, he can't be derailed.
I'm looking for Ziggler to capture the World Heavyweight Championship sometime in the next four months, and I can't see him losing his momentum at SummerSlam.
This feud has gone on long enough. I'm betting that Ziggler wins this one.
