Miami Dolphins: Can Texas A&M's Jeff Fuller Earn a Roster Spot?
While the receiver situation continues to be quite the dilemma for the Miami Dolphins, there is a lot of speculation about whom the organization will select as the six or seven wide outs that will make the final roster.
An interesting aspect of this competition falls onto rookie-free agent Jeff Fuller.
Despite an impressive college career at Texas A&M, Fuller found himself undrafted last April. However, it was no surprise to anyone when the Miami Dolphins offered him an opportunity to earn a roster spot with former Aggie Ryan Tannehill under center and previous coach Mike Sherman in Miami.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While it seems more and more probable that Tannehill might be starting at quarterback for the Dolphins earlier than expected, Fuller becomes an appealing option to keep on the roster.
Although Tannehill was originally a wide receiver at Texas A&M, he is still relatively new to the quarterback position.
In training camp, he looked like a professional, but the transition to playing under center in the NFL will still take some time.
Head coach Joe Philbin will look to any means possible to ease this transition, and a familiar face like Jeff Fuller in the receiver corps might seem like a good idea.
At Texas A&M, Fuller was undoubtedly one of Tannehill’s favorite targets. Although he had a mild drop-off in production in his senior season, Fuller still notched 70 catches on the year for over 800 yards, finding the end-zone on six different occasions.
While Tannehill familiarizes himself with a group of young wide receivers, Fuller might provide a familiarity necessary for Tannehill to succeed in the NFL. If Fuller makes the final cut, the Miami Dolphins organization may feel the same way too.
