WWE SummerSlam 2012: Neglected Superstars That Need to Be Featured at PPV
SummerSlam already has seven confirmed matches (including pre-show), so there isn't a ton of room to add in the normal filler.
A few of the matches figure to be long ones. If this plays out as it appears, there are a few superstars who will be relegated to supporting roles backstage, or worse, no appearance at all.
Frankly, I wouldn't miss many of the mid-carders like Heath Slater, but a few of the WWE's up-and-coming stars deserved to appear in the ring.

Here are a few examples of potentially neglected superstars, and the likelihood they will appear:
Ryback
Ryback hasn't been neglected in regards to attention, but he isn't scheduled on the card, and these last-minute squash matches are beneath him. I also think the Jinder Mahal feud is just a glorified squash match being stretched into a feud.
Unless the WWE decides to add some credibility to them both, this doesn't excite me. Nonetheless, Ryback should have a match booked, and shouldn't still be appearing in pay-per-views as a throw in.
Probability He'll Appear: Almost Certain
He'll probably clash with Jinder Mahal, or at least have his squash match interrupted by him. I think it would be a great move by the WWE to have Jinder Mahal cost Ryback his unbeaten streak.
It would throw people for a loop, giver Jinder Mahal some credibility, and it would remove the Goldberg streak comparisons.
That would be a nice way to setup a feud between the two.
Jack Swagger
Yes, Swagger.
I remember when Swagger looked like he was going to be a poor man's Kurt Angle, but now he's just a poor man.
He has fallen so far from grace in the WWE story-lines it isn't even funny. Swagger is still very talented in the ring, maybe he can grab a new twist on his persona to rekindle his career.
Probability He'll Appear: Not Good
If he does show up, it'll probably be as the mark for some stunt. I would like to see him, but only if it's in a role that offers him some redemption.
Brodus Clay
Clay seemed as if he was on a meteoric rise just months ago, but now it seems things have stalled a bit. I like both he and Damian Sandow, but I'm not sure they work well together in a feud.
Neither of them have a match booked for SummerSlam, so the door is open for the two to have some sort of confrontation. Clay seems to be having some difficulty shaking the goofy, dancing giant persona.
Ultimately, he may have to flip to heel to establish himself.
Probability He'll Appear: Pretty Strong
I think Clay and Sandow will meet at SummerSlam. The match may not be exciting, so hopefully Sandow can steal the show with his excellent mic work.
