Brock Lesnar: Did His Attack on Shawn Michaels Have WrestleMania Implications?
Did we see the beginnings of a program for WrestleMania 29 in the works Monday night?
Is it possible the drama that is unfolding between Brock Lesnar, Triple H and Shawn Michaels could lead to an epic battle in New Jersey next April?
For everything that could go right and wrong in Sunday night’s battle between Lesnar and Triple H, the wild card—like in WM 28—is Michaels, and his role in the match could determine a match at the WWE’s biggest pay-per-view.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
It’s just conjecture and a thought, but hear me out on this one. Hopefully, it makes some sense.
By the time WM 29 rolls around, I suspect we will have a new WWE Champion in The Rock. Maybe he faces Lesnar, which would be epic and the fans would be treated to possibly one of the greatest matches in PPV history. The move also allows The Rock to wrestle more and act less, something we all want to see.
But the actions of Monday night, for some reason, have me thinking there will be a showdown at some point between the two superstars, Triple H and Michaels.
Michaels showed the timid side of himself in looking and lurking around, trying to avoid Lesnar at every cost, showing fear and trepidation (love it when I can use that word).
Triple H, of course, was late, which Michaels seemed agitated with (event stating on the show, “This isn’t even my fight!) the COO of the WWE, and knew he was in a situation he did not like or could not handle.
Then when Triple H was there and the two met to sign the contract, Michaels told his best friend that he wasn’t sure the “King of Kings” could beat the big man.
And finally when Michaels was attacked and beaten to high hell and had his arm broken (supposedly), we heard two sides of the coin.
Triple H apologizing for not being there earlier, and leaving Michaels to defend himself against the much bigger opponent.
Michaels kept saying, “Leave me alone,” and he refused the apology.
I feel things coming to a head at some point. Remember these two could have gotten into it before WM 28 when the Undertaker played the two off each other with mind games and Triple H reminded his best friend he could not get the job done against The Dead Man.
WM 29 hasn’t had the build up like it did last year and still seven months away, there is likelihood we will have new champions, new feuds and something to take it over the top again.
Rock vs. Lesnar does that. Even a CM Punk vs. Rock match does that.
But having Michaels and Triple H in the ring on opposite ends is epic, and having them fight over ego is even better.
Isn’t that how friends in wrestling are supposed to battle in the first place?
