Edwar Ramirez Will Sit Out the Next Couple Of Days
Edwar Ramirez will be sidelined for a minimum of three days. His MRI revealed that he has mild bursitis, but its not very serious. He doesn’t plan on pitching again until the weekend. This isn’t something you like to hear, but it could have been a lot worse.
Girardi: “He’s going to be down for a few days,” Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. “The hope is to get him back on the mound shortly. We’re not considering it to be a long time, and flat ground would be the first thing that he would do. We’re hoping to maybe do that this week.”

Derek Jeter says he plans on playing in four gamesbefore he joins the U.S. WBC team. He will start tomorrow in the spring opener. Jeter has recovered from his right hamstring soreness, as he was sprinting in the outfield today and he took part in base running drills.
