WWE News: Backstage Woes Continue as JTG and Others Bothered by 'Mania Payoffs

Gone Baby GoneJun 7, 2018

Just days after the WWE touted (pun intended) record buy-rates, it appears many stars within the company are beginning to feel short-changed.

A story surfaced Monday about JTG taking to Twitter to air his grievances, leaving many to wonder if he was trying to get himself released, or if he just needed to vent.

Now WrestlingInc.com reports:

F4Wonline.com reports that there have been some payoffs come out in the past few weeks, mainly the WrestleMania 28 payoff, and that is part of why JTG is upset. Word is that JTG isn't the only midcard talent upset about the WrestleMania payoffs. Apparently with WWE touting the success of the WrestleMania buyrate, the talents expected the payoffs to be more than what they actually were.

Word going around is that many talents are upset about it and lots of are talking privately about it but everyone is afraid to speak out because of fear for losing their jobs.

"

Ultimately, it appears the WWE may be bragging a bit too much about their recent successes. Not that they don't deserve it, but they must remember that their workers are watching the ups and downs and will always want their piece of the pie.

Don't get me wrong here, the WWE is first and foremost a business and needs to make sure they put money where it's needed in order to continue generating cash flow. However, they also need to take care of the people that are keeping them afloat.

Keep in mind, for every John Cena and CM Punk, there are at least five JTGs that helped get them there.

What are your thoughts? Are the lower mid-carders justified, or should they just be happy playing their part?
