Philadelphia Eagles Announce Passing of Andy Reid's Son
The Philadelphia Eagles announced the passing of Andy Reid's son, Garrett, on their website Sunday. He was found dead in his room at Lehigh University, where the Eagles hold their training camp. Garrett was 29. He was at camp to assist the strength and conditioning staff.
At a time like this, all that can be said is that we express our most sincere condolences to Andy and his family. They have lived through some tough family times together and now have another terrible tragedy to face.
The Eagles' announcement indicated that the team prayed together before practice and that the training camp schedule will proceed as planned. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and defensive coordinator Juan Castillo will oversee the team together in Andy's absence to be with his family.
