Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
This was a pretty solid move by Jericho, especially considering he is mostly known for trolling wrestling fans on Twitter. Overall, I am not surprised about his loyalty to the WWE, as they boosted his career to the next level and have been very understanding with Jericho's other interests.
Let's face it, the WWE could have been difficult and not allowed "The Ayatollah of Rock N' Rolla" back to the company after his departure. Ultimately, Jericho has proven himself both in and out of the ring. And with the exception of the U.S. title, he has managed to hold every current championship belt the WWE has to offer. Not to mention the fact he holds the record for the most Intercontinental title reigns in the company's history.
In the end, Jericho will probably step away from the ring after SummerSlam, as his band Fozzy is slated to go on tour and will prevent him from fulfilling both commitments.
The good news is it appears that he will once again return; I just wouldn't bank on any additional long-term stints.
