The Armageddon of Kurt Angle: TNA iMPACT Slamback
Before I continue, I would like to dedicate this article to one of our writers. Apparently they didn't like the fact that I was insulting Kurt Angle. With that said, he deserves every insult after tonight's TNA iMPACT!
So Slave to the Animal, this one's for you. Here's your TNA iMPACT Slamback!
iMPACT opens with Jim Cornette complaining about the Main Event for tonight. But Jeff Jarrett decides that he will go with Angle’s plan to clear the arena. The show goes live with the entrance of Kurt Angle heading to the ring. He then tells Jarrett that he got what he wanted.
Angle goes on to say that tonight it will either be him or Sting before calling out Jeff Jarrett to honor his request to clear out the arena. In the back, Lauren is interviewing the Motor City Machineguns.
The Guns go on to say that they’ve only worried about themselves. But as they spew this out, Lethal Consequences comes in and ambushes the duo to get some quick payback from last week’s post-match actions on iMPACT.
Back on the show, the Guns and LC are still battling it out, so TNA decides to let them fight.
O-Town Street Fight
The Guns vs. Lethal Consequences
The Guns get one up on Creed with a back to back kick to the skull. They then focus on Jay Lethal as the fight gets back to the ring. They decide to keep Creed out, but Consequences introduces Chris Sabin to a steel chair during a suicide dive. Back in the ring, Lethal Consequences get control of the match as Sabin battles Creed on the outside, Lethal slugs it out with Shelley.
Sabin shows his hardcore side by grounding Creed with a steel chair, but Lethal nails the Lethal Combination on the very same chair. Both teams use the steel chairs to be the holy hell out of each other. But Shelley nails his partner with the gold. But it is a ladder that allows Sabin to recover enough to nail Creed with the X Division Championship to allow Shelley to pick up the win for the Guns.
Back in Jarrett’s office, Jim Cornette announces that Kurt Angle’s request will indeed be honored.
Back in the Mafia Locker Room, the Mafia seems divided over the Empty Arena Showdown. But Booker decides to back up his longtime buddy Sting. But his problems get worse when AJ Styles ambushes him and tells him that at Destination X, it will be the end of this war.
Intermission: BMI Off The Wagon Challenge
We find out that Beer Money has decided that since they have beaten every single tag team in TNA, they are issuing an Off The Wagon Challenge. In other words, they will defend the titles anyplace, anytime, anywhere.
In the back, Roxxi, Taylor Wilde and The Governor promise to dish out some more Reality Check to The Beautiful People…starting tonight.
Interlude: Abyss Therapy Session with Dr. Stevie Richards
The above isn’t a typo. The Therapist of the Monster Abyss is none other than Stevie Richards.
Six Man Tag Match
Brutus Magnus, Sheik Abdul Bashir & Matt Morgan vs. Shane Sewell & LAX
Sewell gets leveled by the Carbon Footprint from Morgan to start things off. All three members of The Gladiators take control of the match by singling out Sewell. Sheik continues the assault on the outside, but Earl Hebner causes the ultimate momentum killer when he moves his fellow TNA ref out of the way of a possible chair shot.
Back in the ring, LAX takes control as Hernandez lands the Border Toss, and Shane Sewell lands the Flying Elbow Drop to get the win for his team. After the bell, Sewell shows his respect to LAX by saluting the flag of Puerto Rico as well as his teammates tonight.
Back in the ring, Jim Cornette announces that Beer Money’s Off The Wagon Challenge has been accepted by a mystery tag team. In the back, Scott Steiner gets shocked at the physical return of Samoa Joe. Joe presses the weights down on Steiner’s repaired sternum and informs him that it will be the two of them at Destination X. But Joe also tells him that The Nation of Violence is coming…and at Destination X, Joe’s Gonna Kill You!
In the back, Sojourner Bolt makes it clear that she will become the next TNA Knockouts Champion. But she is interrupted by the arrival of Raisha Saeed. After getting blown off, Saeed makes it clear that there will be big problems in store for the Kongtourage Member.
Angelina Love vs. Taylor Wilde
Love wastes no time in starting the physicality as she jumps Taylor from behind, but Wilde starts to fight back with a series of arm drag takeovers. But Kip gets involved once again, only this time, the official catches him in the act and tosses him out of the ring.
Love shows her displeasure for the official’s decision by decimating Wilde back in the ring. Love nails a knee lift followed by a bicycle kick, but is unable to get the pinfall. As Sky tries to run interference, Love nails the Lights Out, but the official is unable to get the pinfall due to the war of words from Sky and Roxxi. Back in the ring, and thanks to the Governor, Wilde gets the roll up and the pin to get the victory over The Beautiful People.
Gentlemen (and Ladies), don’t forget to submit your videos for the “One Night with ODB” Contest.
Back on the program, Sting starts making his way down to the ring. Sting tells Kurt to make sure that the cameras are rolling…because when they’re rolling, It’s Showtime!

Beer Money vs. Petey Williams & Eric Young
Petey and James Storm start the match with Storm getting caught with a jawbreaker and spinning heel kick. But the newly reunited Team Canada gets control with a series of double teams. But thanks to Jacqueline, Beer Money gets control on the outside.
Back in the ring, Beer Money continues the pressure on Team Canada, but Eric Young manages to land a High Knee followed by a clothesline. But the experience of the TNA Tag Team Champions shows as they take out Petey Williams, while Jacqueline does a little “extra help.” As Storm goes for the Eye of the Storm, EY nails the Dragon Whip and is able to tag in his partner. Petey comes out firing as he drops both members of Beer Money.
Despite the impressive tag team chemistry of the duo, Team Canada gets the upper hand for a brief moment with a Superplex/Super Power Bomb Combination. As Eric Young and Robert Roode battle on the outside, Jacqueline comes in tries to get an advantage for her team. But it is The Last Call from Storm that allows Beer Money to get the victory. In the process, Petey Williams is pacing back and forth as it becomes clear to him that his TNA Career is officially over.
After the bell, the fans as well as Eric Young show their respect for Petey Williams.
In the back, Rhino and Team 3D give their thoughts on the Empty Arena Showdown. Despite having a difference of opinion, all three men are able to agree that they are going to the Strip Club to forget about all the stupidity with the Mafia. In the process, the iMPACT Zone begins to clear of everyone as it is almost time for the Main Event.

Kurt Angle vs. Sting
Back on the program, Angle has complete control as he pummels Sting in the stands. The two battle along the ring barrier, but Sting breaks the momentum by running Angle into a wall. The two continue the fight all the way to the top of the stands, where Sting tosses Angle over the end of the fence to the ground 15 feet below. But Angle shakes off the cobwebs and nails Sting with a aluminum trash can.
Sting bounces back and nails Angle with a steel chair. Angle begs for his life, members of the Mafia come out to break the fight. After the two shake hands, Angle spits in the face of The Icon, prompting the TNA Champion to continue the slugfest with Angle screaming, “I hate you, Sting! I hate you Sting!” as security breaks up the brawl.
Back on the program, we see the video footage of this confrontation. After the footage, an irate Sting makes it known that he is in and he will get Sting. On the other side, Kurt Angle wants Jarrett to make the match between he and Sting.
Kevin Nash tells him that this is all Angle’s fault and he is the cause of this. But Angle isn’t paying attention to Nash as he looks straight in the camera and says simply, “Jarrett, I know you’re listening! MAKE IT HAPPEN! I WANT STING! I WANT HIS TITLE! MAKE THIS HAPPEN! MAKE…THIS…HAPPEN!” as IMPACT goes off the air.
