Confessions of Alex "A-ROID" Rodriguez
Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez, the highest paid baseball player of all time recently made some confessions of steroid use way back in 2003.
Now, I know there has been about a million articles written on A-Rod since then and a lot of fan boys have cried and expressed how they are disowning him as their hero. I promise this will not be one of those articles, and this will be short and simple.
I used to love baseball as a kid. Growing up in Chicago, on the Northside obviously, I was a Cubs fan. I loved all my hometown heroes: Mark Grace, Ryne Sandberg, Andre Dawson, Shawon Dunston, and even Vance Law. Yes, Vance Law the guy with the glasses.

I even used to love playing baseball in the summertime. Nothing beats hitting a home run, literally or metaphorically.
But something happen since my childhood. I began to be turned off by baseball and did not care for the sport almost at all. It could very well be all the steroid abuse within the sport that keeps resurfacing into the media.
I was not going to write an article on the whole A-Rod thing until I saw footage of him actually trying to explain himself. A-Rod explained in his own words that he remembers his cousin injecting him with something that he was not sure what it was.
Now folks, come on now. Sadly, I am not close with any of my cousins. I see my cousins once maybe twice a year if I'm lucky at all. But come on, even if my cousins were my best friends, I would not let them inject anything into my body no matter who it was.
Even when my doctor injects a syringe into me I have to confirm that he got a brand new syringe that is from the correct cabinet and of course what exactly is going inside of me, and that is my freakin' doctor not my cousin.
When asked if he felt the steroids enhanced his ability to play better he responded by saying something to the degree of: You see this water bottle, if I told you drinking this water bottle would make you play better and you drank it, then you would actually play better.
Well A-Rod you know what else makes you play better? Hard honest training and giving your best 100 percent.
Anyone who knows me knows my views on drugs. I am drug free. I always said and believe that drugs are for the weak. Show me a person who does drugs, and I'll show you a person who is weak.
I am no hater I am all for chasing and living out your dreams. You want to be the highest paid player of all time and you became that, amazing! There however will always be an obvious asterisk next to all of your accomplishments for obvious reasons.
That is why I actually, in all seriousness, look up to Vance Law more than A-ROID.
Yes, that is right. The guy with the glasses.
