The Devil (Bud Selig) Does Good Business
The reports are now out that Bud Selig has made $14 million the last two years. This is truly a sad day in the history of baseball. The one man responsible for all the negativity surrounding Major League Baseball is making out with all the cash.
It seems that some time back in the mid to late 90s, Bud Selig sold his soul to the devil in order to make his dying sport surge into the spotlight. Just like that, the sport considered America's past time, was right back in the mix of things.
He was given the great home run race between Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. Next season, out of nowhere, a veteran Barry Bonds starts to rake like there is no tomorrow. All this is happening while, arguably, the best pitcher of this generation was winning games more convincingly than when he was younger.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Now, Mark McGwire has been all but banned from the Hall of Fame, and Sammy Sosa is nothing more than a veteran in the minor leagues. Barry Bonds is about to go in front of congress and receive what will likely be a message-sending sentence for his use of steroids. The most dominant pitcher of the last several decades has been torn apart by the public and is facing jail time for his use of steroids.
Meanwhile, Selig is taking no blame for anything and make $14 million due to the ticket sales and merchandise these players helped sell.
Bud Selig should be on trial with the rest of these players. He was very much aware of what was going on, but did nothing to stop it. He saw no reason to stop the cash flow into his pocket, since no one had even thought twice about the legitimacy of these player and their phenomenal accomplishments.
Because of what Bud Selig has let this become, no home run of perfectly pitched inning will go by without someone questioning whether or not those involved are truly gifted or cheating.
Sounds like the Devil is coming to collect, and Bud Selig has the cash to pay for it.
