Manny Pacquiao Lost to Juan Manuel Marquez Two Times

Ildefonso SabarreFeb 15, 2009

I think many boxing fans, especially those who cannot accept that Manny is simply the best, still think that Manny lost the two fights with JMM. And up to now they are trying hard to convince themselves that Manny is just lucky.

See what they are saying.

In the Diaz fight they say Manny won over a class B fighter when in fact before the fight they are hollering that, with a big DD, the Pacman will surely fail like Morales and Sta Cruz.

With De La Hoya, I think it is a waste of time to write it anymore because all of them know what they predicted and unfortunately they were all wrong. Now they are saying Oscar was a shot fighter. How come?

What I am saying is let us be fair. Let us analyze the fight itself whether we are true or not. I suggest to all those who kept on saying that Manny lost the two fights with JMM to watch both fights on HBO and TOP RANK telecast in order to see the different angles of the fights. Watching them in this way, they may come to realize how the judges scored.

Well for me I have watched both fights a number of times because I for one want to know whether Manny really won or not. And I hate to say those who don't believe that Manny won, is simply he won both fights.

The first fight was a costly error by one judge, but still I think Manny won that if only it was rightly scored assuming the first round was 10 -7 because in round 2,7,8,9,10, & 12 I have Manny at least winning on four rounds and even on the other two. Most notable is rounds 2, 7, 9, & 12. With that Manny should score 115 to 113 to JMM.

The second fight we know very well that the judges scored correctly and they scored according to their line or angle of view, but then as I said if you watched it on different views you would conclude that Manny has won round 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, convincingly and round 1, 7, & 12 at least even. And remember that round three is a 10-8 round so the final score could be 116-114, assuming even rounds are 10-10.

And to think Manny has already progressed so much, it would be a different fight if ever they meet again and I hope what happened to Morales on the third fight with Manny may not happen to JMM.

And then most of the fans wanting the third fight might come up with more excuses and tell JMM was a washed up fighter because he is too much older. This would be unfair to Manny and of course to JMM.

I think we should wait and see because Manny has little time to attain his goal to become the best fighter in the world in this era. This can only be attained if he wins over Ricky Hatton and possibly Mayweather Jr. or Shane Mosley. He has nothing more to prove winning over JMM if only for others who simply refuse to accept defeat.
