Wrestling News: Matt Hardy Talks About Christian, Plus Could Sone Cold Face Y2J?

Eric GrisantiFeb 13, 2009

According to Matt Hardys blog, Christian being involved in the Jeff Hardy feud was never apart of the plan:

"Speaking of Christian, we have a very long and storied history together. Christian was a recipient of my star-making abilities back in the first ever tag team ladder match. Christian was also smart not to stick his nose into my business with Jeff. I could see how he would be tempted to upon resigning with the WWE, but fortunately he was smarter than that. It's also funny how a lot (sic) of the 'internet journalists' and 'internet fans' thought Christian might be somehow associated with me and my master plan. Nope. Never has been. There's never been any changes in my plans, there's never been a 'B' plan, and Christian hasn't ever been factored in at any time."

I honestly don't believe this statement from Matt, but I do believe Christian won't be a part of Smackdown story lines until after WrestleMania XXV.

The original plan for Jericho going into WrestleMania XXV was to go against Rourke in a boxing match with Ric Flair in Mickeys corner. As far as anyone has heard this match can still take place depending on Mickey Rourke, but there is one other idea that has really been talked about lately throughout creative, that match being...

Chris Jericho vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Austin, has said that Jericho is one of the few superstars he would work with in his farewell match. He's said to be 50/50 and absolutely nothing is confirmed, of course.

What we do know is that the Rattlesnake is confirmed—that's right, confirmed—for the February 26th showing of RAW in Nashville, and the March 16th episode of RAW in San Antonio, Texas.

All I can say is, "Oh hell yeah!"
