NFL Training Camp 2012 Schedule: Dates, Locations and More for All 32 Teams

Tim KeeneyJun 5, 2018

If you're upset the NBA is over, help is on the way in form of the NFL

Sure, the actual season doesn't get started until September 5 when the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Giants, but that doesn't mean you have that long to see some legitimate football.

Teams are beginning to announce training camp schedules, and believe it or not, action gets started in less than a month.

That means less than a month to see the rookies in action, less than a month to see new free-agent signings and less than a month to watch Drew Brees continue to hold out.

Sorry, Saints fans.

Nonetheless, this is clearly an exciting time for football fans who are likely beginning to get impatient.

What follows is a look at the training camp dates, locations and what teams to watch.

New York Jets

You know, in case you wanted to see what an ESPN camera looks like.

With Tim Tebow in town, 98 percent of the attention will likely be on the Jets and how their current second-string quarterback is looking.

I'm sure you're not tired of Tebow at all by now, so this is definitely a camp to pay attention to.

Indianapolis Colts / Washington Redskins

Led by Andrew Luck, the Colts are a completely different team that will showcase a slew of interesting rookies.

Yes, Luck is supposed to be the best rookie since the guy he's replacing, but to see how he gels with Coby Fleener, Dwyane Allen, T.Y. Hilton and others will be intriguing to watch.

As far as the Redskins go, they also have a rookie quarterback who is likely to draw a crap load of attention.

Robert Griffin III is not only incredibly skilled at the quarterback position, he's a fun character whom the cameras love. Watching the beginning of his development should be fun.

Denver Broncos

Peyton Manning is the new sheriff in town, and while we all know how well he can throw the ball, it will be important to see how healthy the Hall-of-Fame quarterback looks.

In this aspect, training camp might just be more important for Manning and the Broncos than it will be for any other team.

Of course, these three teams are just the beginning. Every training camp is full of intriguing new players and important questions to be answered. If I wanted to, I probably could have listed all 32 teams here.

That's why training camp is so fun.
