Jus Fly Video: Watch Insane Cartwheel Dunk Guaranteed to Sell Nike Hyperdunks
Who said slam dunk contests had grown stale?
I admit, I have offered up hope that slam dunk contests all over the world would come to a beautiful end shortly.
It seemed that every last stunt had been done. After seeing Jus Fly do a cartwheel into a between-the-legs dunk, I have revisited that previous thinking.
The YouTube description of the video tells us that Jus Fly is rocking the new Nike Hyperdunk+ sneakers, and that fact may have some of you sneakerheads thinking about hitting the mall on June 29th when they are released.
The shoes give you more than comfort, as they bring technology to the court in the form of information sent to your smart phone on things like vertical measurements.
Sure, that's nice and all, but I need to see more dunks like this.
The NBA Slam Dunk Contest has devolved into gimmicks and hype. Let's bring it back to basics with the simple question of what the body can do.
What about a couple of somersaults into a 360 dunk? Give me backflips into an alley-oop. In short, we need more acrobatics, not smoke-and-light shows.
I need to see Dwight Howard go into a full-on cartwheel as Steve Nash lobs him an alley-oop from half court.
Actually, I am hoping we get JaVale McGee to take part in some of these new exercises. The future of slam dunks is here—I hope.
