Randy Orton vs. Triple H at Wrestlemania XXV?

Recently, wrestling fans have been saying how it is a lock that Randy Orton will face John Cena at Wrestlemania XXV. However, this past Monday Night Raw got me wondering something.

Who the heck was Stephanie McMahon speaking to on on the phone to?

There are loads of possibilities. Stephanie could be ringing Vince McMahon who is making sure she is alright with Orton hanging around the place.

That seems too boring.

Could it be mother Linda McMahon she was on the phone to?

No. That wouldn't make sense for storyline purposes.

Okay. It might be Shane McMahon telling her he is on his way to Raw to kick some Legacy butt.

That again seems to obvious and lackluster.

So I am left wondering—was it Triple H?

Let’s look at how it would be logical for it to be Hunter:


First Reason

He injured Orton. Remember the Last Man Standing match at One Night Stand where Triple H threw Orton over the top rope, accidentally breaking his collarbone? If Triple H could win the WWE title in the Elimination Chamber, why not have Orton vs. Hunter? Surely Orton wants his sweet revenge, no?


Second Reason

Stephanie is HHH’s wife. How intriguing would it be to See her work with Orton to defeat her husband?

Or how about if Stephanie plays the role of Triple H's valet for the very first time and backs her husband to beat Orton? This would be fresh.


Third Reason

It would play up their continued rivalry from the Royal Rumble. The 2009 Rumble saw Hunter vs. Legacy at the very end. How fitting would it be if the last two in the Rumble also headlined Wrestlemania? Seems fitting to me.


Fourth Reason

Who else would Hunter face? Apart from HHH against the Undertaker which won’t happen, I can’t think of a more main-event-looking match than Orton vs. HHH. Edge vs Triple H could also happen but that doesn't seem like a Wrestlemania caliber match to me.
