WWE News: Chris Jericho Slated to Return as a Face?

Well, you wanted it, and now you might have it.

 Wrestlinginc.com is reporting that Chris Jericho may be returning as a face:

Chris Jericho's WWE suspension ends this weekend and he will be returning on Monday's RAW.

Speaking of Jericho's return to RAW, speculation from within WWE this week is that he will receive a babyface push.

To me this seems pretty accurate, as Jericho's Raw return will be with his band Fozzy in tow. So I can't imagine a heel Jericho playing his heart out to boos from the crowd. Yes, I realize he did this a few years back. However, that was during a feud with John Cena.

Ultimately, this is a different Jericho. All of the fans know why he is back and have been struggling to not cheer for him since his return.

I feel WWE and Jericho have witnessed this trend, and that could be the reason behind the turn. About a month ago Jericho tweeted that WWE was releasing a new Jericho t-shirt, which also indicates a change in the wind.

Additionally, Jericho has gone on record with Sirius XM's The Opie and Anthony Show, stating that he will not have a t-shirt out as long as he is a heel. He must feel like the fans can't really rally against him if they are also buying his merchandise.

In the end, we will have to wait and see what unfolds Monday night, as I am sure both WWE and Jericho will do their best to make this return memorable. Or, at the very least, let us know whom he will be feuding with.
