Manchester United Transfer News: Red Devils Should Play It Safe and Keep Nani
It's hard to imagine Manchester United may cut ties with one of the most talented wingers in the world, Nani, even if the rumors are true that they have eyes for Porto winger James Rodriguez.
But according to the Mirror, that's the case:
"Manchester United are lining up Porto winger James Rodriguez as a potential replacement for Nani.
Portugal star Nani has already admitted publicly he may quit Old Trafford this summer, and Inter Milan are watching developments closely.
Colombian starlet Rodriguez, 20, is rated in the £25million range by Porto, and has already admitted a dream of playing for United.

Apparently, Nani is unhappy with his contract and negotiation talks have stalled, fueling the rumors that he may depart. Frankly, I think the Red Devils should avoid his departure if possible, though not at an unreasonable cost.
For one, John Edwards from the Daily Mail has reported Rodriguez actually has a £40 million buy-out clause, exceptionally steep for the 20-year-old.
For another, Nani is a world-class winger. Sure, Manchester United already has Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young in place, but I've always preferred Nani to Young and having all three gives United incredible depth at the position.
Should one suffer a run of poor form or fall to an injury, there is little drop-off in this group. That's invaluable.
Nani needs to be realistic about his asking price, I get that. And Rodriguez would be an intriguing replacement if his transfer cost weren't so astronomical. But if the Red Devils and Nani can get on the same page, it's the best situation for both sides.
It should be another interesting summer in Manchester.
