WWE Rumors: Predicting What WWE Will Do With Chris Jericho on Raw Next Monday

Eric BallJun 19, 2012

He’s baaaaack!

Chris Jericho disappeared from the WWE universe after using the Brazilian flag in less-than-appropriate fashion back on May 24. He was suspended for a month but is now going to be back in action on Monday Night Raw in six days, according to Wrestlezone.

Considering WWE has completely ignored the suspension, I’m assuming they won’t address why Jericho was gone. They’ll just throw him right back into the mix and create a feud that will surely culminate at the next PPV event (Money in the Bank.)

So who will it be?

He has already lost enough times to CM Punk; he has too much star power to deal with a guy like Kane, or Tensai, or Brodus Clay.

How about Daniel Bryan? Or Sheamus?

In my mind, they are the two superstars on the cusp of something even bigger, and enduring a high-profile feud against the likes of Jericho would raise their popularity even further.

Then again, after WWE paired Punk and Sheamus against Bryan and Kane on last night’s Monday Night Raw, maybe that feud isn’t completely over with yet.

What about Ryback?

This freak may be able to squash two guys at once, but he's yet to have been “fed more” like he insists on yelling after all of his wins. If the creative team is set on raising Ryback’s profile, this would certainly be the way to go. Yet once again, the issue of star power would be a major concern.

Jericho’s tenure as an every-week performer is coming to an end soon, and one last big feud is in order. With that line of reasoning, maybe John Cena is still an option. Two of the titans of WWE have appeared on countless amounts of episodes of Raw, and doing battle in anticipation for the 1,000th career episode sounds pretty good.

Clearly, the WWE has plenty of different paths they can go with Jericho at this point, but finding the right match is going to be rather tricky. The creative team has some serious work ahead of them this week.

Flip a coin on this one; nobody knows what’s going to happen on Monday with Jericho.
