The Morning Tailgate

Second baseman Adam Kennedy, was recently released from the St. Louis Cardinals.  It didn’t classify as “breaking news” around the country, but our local St. Louis news stations made sure to cover the action - as seen below.

That said, we’re handing out this morning’s ceremonial tailgate bratwurst to the lead designer at the local St. Louis FOX affiliate, KTVI.  How about that hat, folks?  It’s no surprise that they Photoshop hats on recently-signed free agents because they want to show the local fans what the new player is going to look like in their new garb.  Fine.

But Adam Kennedy has been with the Birds since 2007.  They don’t have a current media day photo of Mr. Kennedy?  Come on.  The picture used during this Saturday's news cast clearly shows Kennedy wearing his old Anaheim Angels uniform and a Photoshopped hat.  Whatever.

But why did they have to give him the CC Sabathia gangsta hat lean?  Very strange.

This is Ohio State women’s basketball coach Jim Foster. We wanted to put the spotlight on him because the picture looks eerily similar to a little league coach scolding his child player.

He also strikes us as a Peter King-type, which makes the pointing and scolding all the more entertaining.
