NBA Summer League 2012 Schedule: Dates, Times, TV Coverage Info and More
June 19, 2012
The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas has become a tradition that allows for fans to get their first look at a number of top picks and a professional basketball fix during the dull period that follows the draft and precedes the regular season tip-off.
There are 60 games scheduled and 24 teams will be represented this summer during the nine-day long event. The summer league will be entering its eighth-year of existence in 2012.
Players like Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and Kyrie Irving have all made their NBA “debuts” at the Las Vegas Summer League and there should be plenty of future stars following in their footsteps this year.
Let’s take a look at where you can catch all of the action and some young studs that are likely to participate.
Where: Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, Nevada / COX Pavilion, Las Vegas, Nevada
When: Friday, July 13 through Sunday, July 22
Watch: NBA TV will televise all 60 games, with 39 of them live.
Live Stream: To Be Announced at Later Date (via official league announcement)

Potential Players to Watch
Anthony Davis

The consensus No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft will likely make his debut with the Hornets when they play their first game on Saturday night against the Trail Blazers.
Nearly every fan, scout, GM and analyst has pegged the Kentucky product as a superstar and he will have a chance to show it early in the summer league.
Harrison Barnes
Barnes is likely to be a top-five pick and is expected to be one of the best scorers in the draft. The Bobcats, Cavaliers, Wizards, Blazers, Kings and Warriors are all in the running to land the UNC star and have teams participating in the Summer League.
If one of these franchises takes a shot on Barnes, expect him to fill up the stat sheet in Las Vegas.
Andre Drummond
Drummond is widely regarded as a project that has lottery-worthy size but extremely raw skills. If he goes where he is projected (2-6 range), there is a high probability that we will get to see him in action against other NBA hopefuls in Vegas.
He has got to show flashes of talent right away or there will be almost instantaneous talk of the former UConn Huskie as a bust.
