Vic Darchinyan Needs to Rematch Donaire in Order to be Great

After Saturday's dominating win over the ever popular Jorge Arce, Vic Darchinyan looks to move up in weight to conquer more titles northbound to the bantamweight, and even higher and higher. He is aiming to be a three to four or more weight class champion and he just might achieve that.

Vic just like his name is a "Raging Bull" in that ring. He has an unorthodox fighting stance and style. Some have even teased him saying he looks like a big lobster with his fists positioned more like lobster claws targeting his opponents. But the end results often look the same with the Raging Bull/Lobster knocking his opponents out. 

Many fight fans saw Jorge Arce as Vic's biggest and hardest test, but Vic easily dominated Arce from the opening bell to a 11th round TKO. With this win over Arce added to Vic's accomplishments he is now on his way up the Pound For Pound rankings.

But no matter how north he goes up to try to win more titles or draws closer to that number one spot in the Pound For Pound rankings he will always be haunted by being part of 2007's Knock Out of the Year. You may say so what he provided 2007's Knock Out of the Year thats a good thing right? No it is not. Not when you are the one getting knocked the hell out.

Yes Nonito Donaire was the other fighter involved in 2007's Knock Out of the Year. Donaire was the one who so beautifully executed that number one KO of 2007 blow to Vic's chin. Donaire was the challenger who was countering Vic all night until the KO of the year was thrown.

Donaire was the fighter who took Vic's belts that night. Donaire will always be that Astrix next to Vic's great accomplishments. So in essence Vic must rematch Donaire and avenge that significant loss.

When Jim Gray asked Vic about a possible rematch with Donaire, Promoter Gary Shaw  jumped in and changed the subject right away to something weak like: Hey Did You Guys See That New Kate Hudson Movie?

Shaw Don't duck the Filipino Flash that is the one fight Vic must take in order to be on that next level. Talk about Vic rematching Donaire, we don't give a damn about that Kate Hudson Movie.
