Croatia vs. Spain Live Stream: Online Viewing Info for Euro 2012 Match

Alex KayJun 18, 2012

Spain and Croatia are the two favorites to advance out of Group C and are level on points with a win and draw apiece. They meet today in an exciting match that would optimally end in a 2-2 tie, as both sides would be guaranteed a spot in the knockout stages.

Should one of the teams lose, Italy would have a strong chance to move on. They are up against a weak Ireland squad and a win, plus a Spain or Croatia loss would mean the Azzurri would leap ahead of the loser.

Let’s take a look at where and what you should watch for as Group C concludes play in Euro 2012.

Most Important Player to Watch: Fernando Torres, Spain

Torres was absolutely brilliant against Ireland in Spain’s 4-0 victory. He scored two goals and his confidence should be at an all-time high going into this final group game.

The Chelsea striker had been getting a lot of flak for his struggles and the international team even decided to go with an unconventional 4-6-0 formation against Italy to open the tournament.

Spain was rewarded when they added Torres as the striker for the second game and will continue to use this attack today against Croatia.

It will be interesting to see if the 28-year-old forward will build upon his dominance from last outing.

Key Matchup: Luka Modric, Croatia vs. Sergio Busquets, Spain

Modric is the Croatian’s best playmaker and will be playing right behind the striker against the Spaniards today. If Modric’s side is going to score some goals today, you can almost be certain the 26-year-old Tottenham star will be involved.

Busquets’ job is to stop him, and he has had a lot of success in the past in shutting down elite forwards.

The 23-year-old has been crushing the opposition at Barcelona and is one of the best defenders in the world.
