Euro 2012 Results: Predictions for Greece and Czech Republic in Quarterfinals
Greece and the Czech Republic reached the quarterfinals of Euro 2012 on Saturday by becoming the top two teams of Group A.
Greece defeated group leader Russia 1-0 in what many would consider an upset, while the Czech Republic defeated host nation Poland 1-0 to win the group.
The opponents for these two teams in the quarterfinal will be the winner and runner-up from Group B, which is the "group of death." Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Denmark are the talented sides that could face the Czech Republic and Greece in the quarterfinal.

Let's make some predictions for the lucky teams in Group A who have advanced to the knockout stage.
Czech Republic
The Czech Republic are a quality squad that have been improving with each match played at this tournament.
Goalkeeper Petr Cech is a huge reason for their success, and so is midfielder Tomas Rosicky, who has been a marvelous playmaker.
Two likely opponents for the Czech Republic in the quarterfinal are Portugal and Denmark. Denmark would be a beatable side, but Portugal would be a struggle. The Portugueuse have too much talent at forward for the Czech Republic to contain. Defending Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani on the wings would be a major challenge.
The only team from Group C that the Czech Republic would beat in the quarterfinal is Denmark. Portugal, Germany, and even the Netherlands would beat them.
Greece
You have to admire the amount of belief and passion in the Greek locker room. These players never quit, and it's the reason why they are so difficult to eliminate in these kinds of tournaments.
Will they be able to make another historic run in this year's tournament like they did in 2004 when they won the title? No, they won't. In fact, their chances of winning the quarterfinal match against the winner of Group B are slim to none.
They will most likely meet Germany, who they will not beat. The German group of forwards are too talented, and Greece doesn't have the forwards to break through Germany's tough defense and score against world-class goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
No matter who Greece plays in the quarterfinal, they will lose.
