Denmark vs. Germany Euro 2012: Danes Will Crush Dutch Hopes with Unlikely Draw
Denmark has already shocked the Netherlands at Euro 2012, but they will do it once more on Sunday by earning an improbable draw with Germany in its Group B finale (2:45 PM ET, ESPN2).
The Germans have been rolling through Group B, topping both Portugal and the Netherlands, thanks to three goals from striker Mario Gomez.
On Sunday though, Germany will be content to draw with tournament long shot Denmark and win the group with seven points to its name. A draw for Denmark would give it four points in Group B, meaning the Netherlands would be eliminated, even with a thumping of Portugal.

The Danes topped the Dutch in their Group of Death opener 1-0 behind a dominant team defensive effort and a 24th minute goal from Michael Krohn-Dehli. Despite being out-shot 28-8 by the Dutch, Denmark managed to put all eight of its shots on goal and got an impressive five saves from goalkeeper Stephan Andersen.
After a lackluster defensive effort against the Portuguese on Wednesday, in which Denmark allowed three goals in a loss, the Danes will be inspired to bounce back against an offensive juggernaut in Germany.
The good news for Denmark, though, is that no one besides Gomez has even come close to scoring for the German side. That being said, Sunday's matchup in Ukraine presents a golden opportunity for the upset-minded tournament party crashers.
Striker Nicklas Bendtner is also in top form as Denmark's Group B finale approaches. Bendtner scored twice against Portugal and will face off against Germany's back line with supreme confidence, knowing that he can score over any world-class defender.
With Bendtner and Gomez both playing at a superb level this summer, it's only appropriate to predict a 1-1 draw between the two European sides this weekend. I also like the Netherlands to get their first win of Euro 2012 against Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal.
If both matches unfold that way, Portugal and the Netherlands will be left dead in the Group Stage, while the tournament favorite, Germany, and long shot Denmark will advance to the knockout stages.
