U.S. Open TV Schedule 2012: Best Ways to Enjoy Action at Olympic

Scott CarasikJun 7, 2018

With the US Open teeing off the third round today, the best places to watch, listen and follow the action will be through multiple channels. There are quite a few ways to follow along the top golfers in the world as they chase the $8 million purse and current leaders Tiger Woods, Jim Furyk and David Toms. All action will be available starting at 4 PM and ending at 10 PM, all times EST.

Experiencing the US Open on your Mobile Device

A unique thing that the US Open does is allow access to the tournament through any iPhone or Android device and receive the same stream that will be played on the website. The access is available on any mobile device using either software and there is also the ability to switch to an audio only stream.

There are also multiple trackers, including ESPN's app, but the best recommendation to make would be ScoreMobile's app. They have a completely updated leaderboard that automatically updates all day and the app is one of the best free apps on the Android Market.

Watching and Listening the US Open

Unlike the last couple of days, ESPN will not be carrying the Open today. However, NBC will be showing the live action. Another unique ability for this year is the live stream that will be on US Open.com's live video service.

By allowing people all over the country free access to the tournament's broadcast, even if they don't have cable or an antenna, it makes it easier for the U.S. Open to reach a broader audience.

Both ESPN and the open themselves will be putting on a live radio feed. There are multiple ways to listen in, whether it's by mobile device, online or tuning into your local or satellite ESPN station. Tuning into ESPNRadio.com for the action is just a click away.

Following and Tracking the Action Online

There are quite a few different leaderboard and tracking options for the US Open this year, the primary one that people will be using is the ESPN tracker. It has an automatic update feature that you can leave on your screen and check in on each golfer's round by just clicking their name.

The Open is also putting up their own playtracker this year to make it easier to follow all of the action. This will allow people to follow the golfers through their trek at Olympic. Unlike the ESPN tracker, the Open's tracker allows you to follow each group as they are on the hole and track the statistics to how the golfers have been experiencing that hole throughout the day.
