Player to Watch
Beau Hossler
While it’s rare for an amateur to keep pace with the best the world has to offer, especially at the U.S. Open, 17-year-old Beau Hossler was playing amazingly before struggling at the end of Day 2.
No matter how his day ended, the young Hossler made the cut. Now it’s time to watch how he handles the pressure of playing through the weekend.
After holding the lead before falling back to No. 9 on the leaderboard, fans of golf must be watching Cinderella story Hossler Saturday and Sunday.
Predicted Winner
Tiger Woods
After two full days of playing amazing golf at the U.S. Open, it looks like the momentum Tiger Woods picked up from winning the Memorial tournament two weeks ago has carried into the second major of 2012.
After shooting 69 and 70 over the first two days respectively, the hot start on the tough course of Olympic Club will keep the golf star going steady. I expect Woods to be involved in the win at the end—either taking home another major or choking away a victory.
Either way, golf fans are in for a show.
