US Open Golf TV Schedule 2012: When and Where to Watch Final Rounds

Ben ChodosJun 7, 2018

Action at the 2012 U.S. Open is heating up and an exciting weekend of golf lies ahead for fans.

The struggling players will be cut after the second round, leaving only the golfers who have taken well to the course in San Francisco.

The biggest story at the tournament is once again Tiger Woods. The former top-ranked golfer won his first two PGA Tour events since 2009 in the last few months. He finished his first round at one-under par, and as Dave Shedloski of USOpen.com notes, Woods has not started this well at a U.S. Open since winning the tournament in 2002.

Woods was paired with Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson, but both players put on disappointing performances in the first round and are in danger of missing the cut. Mickelson was six-over after the first round and Watson was eight-over.

But the leader after the opening round was Michael Thompson after the 27-year-old surprisingly shot a 66 to start his campaign.

Both Woods and Thompson are nearly certain to be involved in the later rounds, and a talented field will ensure a tight finish. Here is how to catch all the excitement in the next two days.
