Mario Gomez

Against Portugal, Gomez was about to be replaced by Miroslav Klose before heading in a cross that turned out to be the 1-0 game winner.

According to an Associated Press report (via FOX Sports), the striker said he saw his replacement on the sideline and knew he had one last chance to make an impression.

He’s going to have to be just as brilliant against the Netherlands if he wants to ensure he gets a full 90 minutes of play without being substituted.

Wesley Sneijder

Sneijder was furious after the loss to the Danes and said he is sick of the “pathetic egos” that are on his side’s roster, according to The Guardian.

Look for him to attempt to take the game over by himself and make things happen.

The midfielder has 24 goals in 85 appearances with the national team and will be able to back up his harsh words.
