10 Terrible Fans Who Steal Moments

Zack PumerantzJun 12, 2012

There are many species of fanatics inhabiting the planet. We've got streakers, inebriated slobs, terrible spellers, reckless imbeciles who chuck large objects onto the field...

And, oh yes, the horrific individuals who steal from other fans.

No matter how sloppy, violent or angry the aforementioned patrons get during games, they will always take a back seat to the abhorrent nature of those who rob moments from their neighbors.

Following the recent news of an aging broad tugging Donald Driver's cleats away from a 12-year-old fan at a charity softball game, it's become clear the world is full of ruthless sports fanatics who could care less about other children building their own precious memories.

Let's take a look at 10 fans who couldn't resist the temptation to steal from whoever stood in their way of enjoying magical sports moment.

All toddlers beware.

Honorable Mention: Rugby Ruthlessness

All it took was three seconds of bondage with the '07 World Cup to make this man a legend.

The casual walk made the whole presentation almost natural.

10. Field Goal Fiasco

We haven't witnessed lateral mastery like this since Stanford vs. Cal in '82.

But let's be real, these ball hogs never even had a glimmer of hope. Valiant effort though.

9. Prying on the Penalty Kick

3 of 11

Easily the greatest performance in sports history.

This fan scripts his memory during this gloriously routine soccer match. Brilliant!

Alcatraz Prison was originally built for guys like this. Just kidding—but seriously this is ruthless.

He must've left his intensely-spiked margarita at the top of the stairs.

7. World Cup Walk of Shame

5 of 11

In the end, all this fan wanted to do was put the barretina he had in his hands on top of the 2010 World Cup.

Just spicing the trophy up—nothing wrong with that.

6. Lesson Learned

As the man who appears to be the twin of former Giants general manager Ernie Accorsi prances back to his seat with an obnoxious smile on his face, one truth remains:

Every fan for himself.

5. Gridiron Grab

7 of 11

After wrestling the young girl for the ball, this misguided fan wants to show the public he does in fact know how to share.

He looks like a hot potato after returning to his seat.

4. Donald Driver's Magical Kicks

8 of 11

Not only did this vicious fanatic pry the legendary cleats from the hands of a young boy, but she then "bragged about it" with a pic on her Facebook page. Classy.

But no need to fret, this young fan came out a winner with new cleats, a jersey and a baseball bat. Well done, DD.

3. Baseball Brutality

9 of 11

An eighth inning this kid will remember forever...

Not only did the moment-stealing neighbors ignore the child's plea for a ball, but they enjoyed several Kodak moments immediately after. Salt to the wound, much?

No need to cry any longer though, this kid got his ball. And the neighboring couple got their makeout session.

2. Cartoon Craziness

10 of 11

There's nothing like losing a ball-wrestling match to cubicle-dwelling Dilbert himself.

Only one statement can possibly suffice—life sucks.

1. The Man, the Legend

Not only should the Bengals bring this speed demon in for a tryout, but they should immediately fire the two guards who decked each other in an attempt to tackle the ball carrier.

In the end, all he did was delay another interception from Iron Man Brett Favre himself.
